About TCP

The Community Partnership is an independent, non-profit corporation that coordinates the District of Columbia’s Continuum of Care on behalf of the city.  Through the work of our providers, the D.C. Continuum of Care includes prevention services, street outreach efforts, emergency shelter, transitional housing and permanent supportive housing for individuals and families.

A recognized leader among Continuums of Care nationwide, the Community Partnership was established in 1989.  As our name suggests, we work to do more than provide shelter for the homeless.  Our goal is to utilize community resources to create innovative strategies that prevent homelessness in our city.

Our Mission
