The End Youth Homelessness Act of 2014 requires that the District of Columbia Department of Human Services (DHS) conduct a youth-specific homeless census annually.
Since 2015, The Community Partnership (TCP) has been conducting the Youth Count DC on behalf of DHS. With better data on the experiences youth have with housing, we have been able to make significant improvements to the youth homeless services system.
